Department:
The EIT is responsible for creating, implementing and sustaining a world-class service provision and agile development capability to facilitate the ambitious growth and business transformation agenda of the Al-Futtaim Group across all geographies. This covers Business Application Management, Infrastructure & Operations, Enterprise Architecture, Service Management, Information Security, IT Procurement and IT Governance. EIT also manages and innovates the entire life-cycles of a SAP ERP system for amongst others Automotive, Retail, Real Estate and Financial Services including development, selective outsourcing and application management. The Group Infrastructure includes data centers hosting state of the art servers & storage, converged networks, workplace, services and security systems.
Position:
* This position reports to Manager - Systems Projects Delivery within in Infrastructure and Operations.
* Provide consulting services on new initiatives (small to large IT projects of varying complexity) and develops proposals for management approval depicting scope, approach, benefits, justification, TCO and ROI.
* Participate in or facilitate selection of vendor solutions to meet business requirements and project objectives by developing criteria for and conducting a detailed due diligence and evaluation exercise using either a RFP process or independent research
* Assess, research and analyze business and system needs, exploring alternative options to recommend technology solutions and designs that meet sponsor needs and technical deliverables, operational reliability and security.
* Prepare high level and detailed technical specifications for projects in accordance with security and architecture documentation objectives. Leads and participates in creating operational procedures to ensure operational stability and reliability through the entire lifecycle of the implemented system.
* Develop detailed plans and accurate estimates for completion of build, testing and implementation phases of project. Co-ordinate with users, service providers, business partners and hardware/software vendors to ensure successful implementation with minimal disruption to business. Contribute to successful project completion by identifying risks and developing/recommending mitigation strategies
* Conduct assessment of current deployed systems for upgrade opportunities to address continuous supportability by product vendors, security vulnerabilities and operational stability of the systems using ITIL Change Management process. Prepare plans for, initiate change and conduct implementation of plans to support upgrades of existing infrastructure. This will require extensive coordination with stakeholders responsible for various systems - internal within the organization as well as external vendors.
* Create operational procedures for and perform disaster recovery for entire system in different situations.
* Provide L4 support on-call for Systems Infrastructure particularly in complex situations in coordination with Technical operations and Service Management teams.
* Resolves and leads co-ordination with Systems Vendors support organization for quick resolution of Severity 1 situations for production down situation.

Experience:
A Sr. Technical Systems Analyst assesses and analyzes business and system needs, exploring alternative options and provides consulting services to management. Prepares high level and detailed technical specifications, working collaboratively with the Manager, to identify product and solutions to meet systems/business requirements and project objectives. Typical project scope is small to large deployment or maintenance projects. Person may function as a project leader. Emphasis is on consulting and incorporating systems solutions that will benefit the business, increase productivity and create a reliable systems and application infrastructure.
* Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field
* 6- 8 years previous work experience in a similar role across various technologies
* 3+ years' work experience on Information Technology projects supporting an enterprise-wide environment
* 3+ years' experience in presenting and facilitating discussions on technical requirements to support business needs of project sponsors and stakeholders
* Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Products, Security Products; Intel based servers and storage systems.
* Expert level knowledge in at least 3 of the systems and technologies - Microsoft Platform & System Center products; Enterprise Systems Management Tools and products; Private Cloud and Virtualizatoin solutions from leading vendors such as HP, IBM, NetApp, VMWARE, Citrix; Enterprise information and security family of products from Symantec; Sytems & storage infrastructure
* Skilled in leading detailed design phases and developing detailed technical requirements into project plan phases for successful implementation
* Ability to create cost estimates and TCO sheets for IT Infrastructure related projects
* Team Player, self-starter with the ability to complete tasks in an unsupervised environment
